The Problem
Citizens feel deprived of power because more and more politicians are hacking the democratic system and misuse it.
It is the main reason the world has turned unstable and local efforts have been unsuccessful in solving global problems.
With other words:
Democracy means people are ruling their life.
Nowadays democracy means professional politicians ruling nation states. People’s right is limited to vote for professional politicians in every 4-5 years.
The solution
Democratic system has to be adopted for the digital ages.
Modern democratic system with elections, parliament, with all institutions is older than Morse writing, electricity, Otto motor and airplane.
Democracy should be changed into a new, 21. century system that is unhackable, self-correcting and self-improving.
The way
Democratic change can come only from the masses. Bottom up.
The goal is to invent a new system and bring close the new opportunity to people. They have to like it, use it, develop it and brake through.
Our system
We designed a system to re-establish the ancient democracy in the digital society. In computer language: we format democracy.
We defined the following disorders of functioning democracy and goals to reach:
- Party system – form communities from people with the same value, avoiding misleading
- Lack of direct voting – give back people the right to vote
- Elections – protect against influence of money, fake news
- Parliament – instead of voting theatre work as a company
- Control – protect against the Abuse of power, limit political carrier
- Scale – democratic system should work and be adopted in any scale: region, city, state, EU, global.
Short highlights of the system:
- Every citizen access the system by blockchain individualization.
- The system runs on a web based platform.
- The platform is a virtual agora. People form communities (we call Metropolis) upon their values. They can decide between 7 Metropolis.
- Everybody has the right to be elected. Everybody can decide if she/he is ready to be elected.
- Elections into the representative organ (parliament) is by lot.
- The representatives of parliament have to work on problems needed and present various solutions to people through Metropolises and the platform.
- People have the right to decide by electronic direct voting through the platform.
- Parliament has a mandate for 2 years. After every member goes back to the previous life. (Elections in every year, rolling system, half new)
- A senate of older citizens controls the system.
Implementation
That is the key.
Our system or another, but bring it close to people! Initiate! Involve! Make prototypes! Be agile!
